Mentoring young people
From the earliest days of Fly Higher Coaching, our coach / mentors have been involved in mentoring young people, as well as equipping other adult volunteers who share a heart for encouraging and supporting teenagers in this way.
Alison Bennett, Founder and Lead Coach at Fly Higher Coaching, played a key role in setting up and running a team of volunteer mentors who provide weekly mentoring support to young people identified through local secondary schools in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. This scheme has been running for several years and provides consistent, long term, positive input to individual young people. Whilst Alison still volunteers in this work, and regularly trains and equips new mentors, the scheme is now co-ordinated by Wiltshire YFC.
All of our coaches have a heart for young people and experience in coach/ mentoring the younger generation. Our range of experience includes support those who want to
